PRIVATE HOUSE - MIDLOTHIAN

Stone & Lime Co carried out works to this A-listed private house in Midlothian. The old coatings were largely inappropriate modern materials and were failing or casing traditional finishes underneath to fail. We stripped off all coatings and applied a traditional Hotlime fully flush pointing and limewash coating to protect the building.

PRIVATE HOUSE - CUPAR
​
Stone & Lime Co carried out works to this property in Cupar, Fife. The property was in need of some maintenance with the majority of pointing missing or deteriorated and damaged stonework. We removed all the pointing and replaced it with a traditional lime mortar. We also replaced some heavily damaged stonework and carried out and lime mortar repairs tooled to match existing stone detailing.

BRICKWORKS COTTAGE

Stone & Lime Co carried out works to this property in Charlestown, Fife. The cottage is next to a former brickworks and in the past had the chimney extended with brick and rendered at a later date. The client wanted to retain the history of the brick build. We took down the old chimney stack and re-built it using reclaimed bricks from the old brickworks site.
