LIME POINTING IN FIFE
Traditional mass-masonry wall construction, where the walls are solid and do not have a cavity require the use of Lime mortars to allow the transportation of moisture through the wall. The use of cement mortars is detrimental to the walls as it cannot handle the moisture transport and will cause damage to the stonework and dampness within the building. Mass masonry walls need to be maintained and kept in good order to ensure they are functioning properly.
When carrying out traditional lime pointing Stone & Lime Co’s knowledge and experience ensures you have a perfectly executed and aesthetically pleasing finish to enhance the beauty and long term health of your building.
